Q What is the difference between Debossed Silicone Wristbands, Embossed Silicone Wristbands, Screen Printed Silicone Wristbands, Color Filled Silicone Wristbands and Molded Silicone Wristbands?
A Debossed is indented. Laser engravers can only deboss a blank silicone wristband. Embossed is raised and this can only be done at the time of the original molding of the silicone wristband or the silicone ID Tag. Screen Printing is a process where a thin layer of ink or paint is placed on to the silicone wristband or silicone ID Tag by using a standard screen printing process. Debossed silicone wristbands can have the indented portion of the text and graphics hand filled with ink or paint and then further processed to create a permanent bond to the original silicone wristband. Molded silicone wristbands are done in the factory where the text and graphics are either debossed or embossed into the mold before the silicone material is inserted. Both the debossed type and the embossed type can have a different color for the text and graphics.
Q What is the difference between Engraved Silicone Wristbands and Molded Silicone Wristbands?
A Engraving removes material from the silicone wristband or silicone ID Tag. Molded silicone wristbands or silicone ID tags are created within the original mold that the silicone material is pored into.
Q Why are Engraved Silicone Wristbands more expensive than Molded Silicone Wristbands?
A The molded silicone wristbands or molded silicone ID Tags are more efficient process to produce because the text and graphic becomes part of the original mold and this is done in the factory where engraved silicone wristbands or engraved silicone ID Tags are processed on blank silicone wristbands or blank silicone ID Tags where the molding process still has to be done even though there is no text or graphic included into the mold (it is blank). Economies of scale prevail for both the engraving process and the molding process. Molding is only viable for orders that are 100 or more in size.
Q How can you deliver Engraved Silicone Wristbands so much faster than Molded Silicone Wristbands?
A The engraved silicone wristbands or engraved silicone ID Tags are possessed using in stock blank silicone wristbands or blank silicone ID Tags. The molded silicone wristbands or molded silicone ID Tags must be produced in the factory and takes much longer to produce and ship to the USA and requires minimum order quantities.
Q How do you measure someone's wrist to determine which Wristband Size fits best?
A The silicone wristband sizes are 6", 7", 8" and 9" around the band. If you measure someone's wrist with a measuring tape to be 6.5" then the 7" will work out fine. The silicone wristbands are not intended to be stretched when wearing the band. You can take a straight ruler and rotate it around the wrist also to get this measurement.
Q What is the difference in Silicone Wristband lengths for the Toddler Size, Youth Size, Adult Size and the XL Size?
A They are 6", 7", 8" and 9" respectively. Actual wristband lengths may vary by as much as ¼" from these nominal numbers.
Q Is there a difference in price between the Silicone Wristband Sizes and the Silicone Wristband Colors?
A There is no difference in what we charge for the silicone wristbands in regards to size or color. There is a difference in our cost to produce and ship the different sizes and colors but introducing this cost difference into the pricing adds another layer of complexity to the order. As an example the XL size silicone wristbands use much more material than the toddler size silicone wristband, and therefore it costs more to ship because of the added volume and added weight. The main difference in cost has to do with engraved Vs molded, whether or not colored text and graphics is needed and how many messages there are. These differences are reflected in our pricing tales.
Q Is there a difference in price between the Solid Color Silicone Wristband and the Multicolored Silicone Wristband that is also called a Swirled Silicone Wristband or a Camouflage Wristband?
A The swirl and camouflage colors are more expensive also to produce as are the screen printed banner bands and the color filled and colored embossed types. We try to keep these differences out of the pricing mechanism to simplify the ordering process. The main difference in cost has to do with engraved Vs molded, whether or not colored text and graphics are needed and how many messages there are. These differences are reflected in our pricing tales.
Q Why do Debossed Silicone Wristbands generally look better with large and deep text and graphics?
A The initial silicone wristband design was debossed only which limits the selection of fonts because the readability of the text and graphics relied on casting a shadow to see the message. Therefore the messages tended to be big, bold, deep and limited on character count. Also the casing of a shadow does not work as well on dark colors as compared to light colors.
Q Why can Color Filled Silicone Wristbands use so many more fonts and clip art graphics than the Debossed ones?
A Color filling removes the casting a shadow limitation that is required by debossed only silicone wristbands by creating a contrasting color for the text and graphics allowing for much more readable information to be displayed on each side of the silicone wristband or silicone ID Tag and many more options for text and graphics.
Q How can you do rush orders in 1 or 2 days when the normal delivery for Engraved Silicone Wristbands is 5 to 7 days and Molded Silicone Wristbands are 3 to 4 weeks.
A If we accept a rush order we process the order immediately and place that order first in the production line and make special deliveries to FedEx to meet the schedules imposed by the order. We need to verify production capability, manpower availability and FedEx pickup and delivery schedules before we accept a rush order. Rush orders are not automatic due to the coordination and interaction with the customer to approve the text and graphics that is required in such a small time line.

Q Can I order Large Quantities of Wristbands with my logo and a general message molded into the wristband to get the initial cost down and then have you Engrave individual messages on the bank side or even on the inside?

Q Can I Mix and Match Messages and Mix and Match Colors and Mix and Match Sizes all in one order?
A For the purpose of our engraving and molding processes a message is any combination of text and graphics including logos that will fit on one half of a silicone wristband or one side of a silicone ID Tag. If you take a given silicone wristband and spread it out between two fingers it divides into two halves (the Front Half and the Back half). If you turn the silicone wristband inside out and do the same thing you now have two more halves to work with called the inside back and the inside front. Therefore there are actually 4 messages that can be placed in these silicone wristbands (2 for the silicone ID tags). We also accept color changes and size changes for a given order. Ordering larger numbers of silicone wristbands or silicon ID Tags will necessitate the requirement of the information being sent to us via and EXCEL file or other electronic means such as E-Mail. Complicated orders will take much longer to process than standard orders.
